Sanjana Prabhu

Sanjana Prabhu graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health degree and minors in Biology and Spanish. She then graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree and is currently a pediatric resident at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Upon completing her residency, she will begin practicing as a general pediatrician. As part of the Levine Scholars Program, Sanjana completed pre-medical and public health experiences at the Mecklenburg County Health Department and through study abroad experiences in Barcelona, Spain and Cape Town, South Africa. She credits these experiences for fostering leadership skills and igniting her passion for the intersection of community health and pediatric medicine. She also completed her Spanish minor by taking summer classes in Costa Rica and frequently acknowledges its value when interacting with her Spanish-speaking patients.
