Gracie Bricker
Class of 2026
Hometown: St. Louis, MO
Gracie is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. With a strong commitment to social justice, she aims to attend law school with a focus on criminal defense or divorce law. Throughout her academic career, Gracie has actively volunteered with several nonprofit organizations in the Charlotte area, addressing critical issues such as food insecurity and access to safe and affordable housing. Her involvement includes work with the campus food pantry, Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity and The Bulb. These experiences have motivated her to collaborate with her cohort of Levine Scholars on a civic engagement project aimed at facilitating access to free produce and grocery items through pop-up markets on campus.
During the summer of her sophomore year, Gracie interned with The Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, where she gained invaluable hands-on legal experience. Her responsibilities included client and attorney consultations, healthcare navigation services and advocating for historically marginalized populations. This role allowed her to deepen her commitment to making legal aid accessible to all individuals, regardless of their socioeconomic status, ethnicity or other barriers.
As a junior, Gracie is poised to conduct an independent research study, serve as a reviewer for the Undergraduate Research Journal, and work as a social media ambassador to connect with current and prospective students. Additionally, she will continue her role as a federally certified part-time healthcare navigator at the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. Gracie has recently accepted an internship with Safe Alliance at their Survivor Resource Center, further expanding her advocacy efforts. Gracie is also actively involved in several campus organizations, including the Levine Mentorship Program, Pre-Law Society, Social Media Ambassadors, FosterChange and Niner Guides, where she provides campus tours for prospective students and their families.
