​​Kaitlyn is studying Software Engineering and Outdoor Education. Kaitlyn has focused her civic engagement and service efforts on food justice within the Charlotte area. Her experience interning and volunteering at The Bulb in Charlotte has allowed her to work on bringing pop-up produce markets to UNC Charlotte’s campus. Additionally, she works for Venture Outdoor Leadership on campus leading outdoor trips and facilitating team-building programs. Kaitlyn spent a semester studying abroad in Wellington, New Zealand where she also volunteered with a local conservation organization. Kaitlyn has also interned at Red Hat and has attended the Association of Experiential Education International Conference.
