Eden is majoring in mechanical engineering with a biomedical concentration and is on the pre-medical track. She has conducted population health research with Atrium Health Family Medicine for the last three years, presenting findings in Atlanta and Toronto. Eden completed her pre-professional internship with the NURO Program at West Virginia University, where she studied neuronal connectivity using serial electron microscopy and 3D reconstruction. She also interned with Charlotte Community Health Clinic, supporting community outreach and access to patient-centered care. While studying abroad in Santander, Spain, Eden researched the relationship between ozone depletion, ultraviolet exposure and human health while also gaining meaningful intercultural experience. Additionally, she serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the LiTEArary Society, a nonprofit dedicated to addressing childhood book deserts. Eden plans to pursue a career in medicine while continuing to integrate research and prioritize community engagement.
