Hometown: Gastonia, NC
Morgan Flitt, of Gastonia, NC, graduated in May 2018 with degrees in Marketing and Sociology. Upon graduation, Morgan will be working as a research associate for Education Advisory Board in Washington, D.C. She will be using her civic engagement experience, interest in social justice, and skills developed as a research assistant as a foundation for this role. As part of the Levine Scholars Program, Morgan interned at Arts and Science Council, Safe Alliance, and Shining Hope for Communities. She also spent a summer learning about community and identity in Manchester, England. “Being a Levine Scholar has truly opened me up to experiences I could have never imagined. The breadth of opportunities it allowed taught me to embrace the unknown, intentionally work for others, and strive to understand and embrace different perspectives.” During her time at UNC Charlotte, Morgan was involved in the student organization Tap Kan Vini (TKV), the Multicultural Resource Center, and other clubs on campus. “UNC-Charlotte has been a wonderful place to build a community. Charlotte has taught me so about who I am and who I want to become and I am so grateful for the relationships, experiences, and memories that have made these four years so worthwhile.”
