Rohan Salwekar is a first-year Levine and National Merit Scholar from Cary, North Carolina. He is pursuing a degree in Computer Science with an intent to concentrate in AI, Robotics, and Gaming as well as minor in Mathematics. He has always loved giving back to the community and has done so through his work at Save Indian Farmers. SIF organizes fundraisers to raise money for struggling farmers in India. Rohan brought together and led a youth wing in the organization to raise over $30,000. He plans to start a new chapter and raise awareness for SIF’s cause in Charlotte. Additionally, Rohan has recently joined a research team studying the implementation of artificial intelligence in collision avoidance and controlling robot swarms. He hopes to use this technology to possibly help streamline and innovate farming through SIF. Rohan looks forward to his next four years serving the Charlotte community with his fellow scholars.
