Mia, a third-year student majoring in Economics and International Studies with a concentration in Development & Sustainability, recently studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she significantly improved her Spanish language skills. She co-authored a published research paper titled "An Exploratory Study of Digital Inequities and Work in the Redevelopment of a Southeastern American City." Mia actively contributes to her LSP civic engagement project, focusing on HIV/STD community education. She has been recognized as a "Student Champion for Climate Justice" by the APHA for her role in developing the Charlotte Youth Climate Change symposium. Mia's diverse experiences and achievements make her a dynamic and committed student in the fields of public health and international studies. Working as an Environmental Social Governance Intern at Easterly Government Properties and as an analytics Intern at Sustain Charlotte has played a crucial role in fostering her vested interest for sustainability.
