Eden is pursuing a Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical and a Minor in Biology. After graduating, Eden has aspirations of attending medical school. Originally from Morgantown WV, she has gained valuable experience interning in a medical research lab as well as the Emergency Department at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Her work in the orthopedic nanomedicine research lab had a focus on monitoring the changes in the immune system with the presence of osteosarcoma. At Charlotte, Eden is currently assisting with research on improving BP control in vulnerable populations in partnership with Atrium Health. Eden is also the Chief Operating Officer of the 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization, the LiTEArary Society. Her nonprofit has a mission of ending book deserts for disadvantaged children. The LiTEArary Society has donated over $326,000 in new books to preschool aged kids and has been featured on Good Morning America, Forbes, teenVogue, TEDx, the Today show, and more! Eden has hopes of furthering the expansion of the LiTEArary Society in the Charlotte area through her civic engagement project.
