Akshara Sisodiya is pursuing a B.S in Public Health with minors in Biology and Chemistry. Akshara is currently a student researcher with the PaCT Lab, studying the Political Economy of Policing in the US. She is also a reviewer for ETHEL, UNC Charlotte’s Undergraduate Research Journal. Akshara serves on the leadership boards for the UNC Charlotte Audubon Campus Chapter and Charlotte Model UN. Akshara is a strong believer in increasing health equity, and completed her nonprofit internship at Care Ring in Charlotte, NC, and most recently was an intern at Amistad Health, an FQHC in Corpus Christi, Texas to help further this goal. After undergrad, Akshara hopes to improve community health by combining her public health background with an M.D. degree.
