Akshara Sisodiya is a first-year student from Gainesville, FL. She is pursuing a B.S in Public Health with a minor in Data Science, and is planning on attending Medical school after graduation. Akshara’s past civic engagement was focused on tutoring her peers and classmates. In the near future, she hopes to be involved with the civic community of Charlotte, working on the health and wellbeing of all residents. She currently serves on the Student Leadership Team for the Undergraduate Research Conference, and is also involved in student organizations such as UNC Charlotte Birding and Model UN, clubs she held leadership positions for in high school. Akshara is looking forward to enriching her academic journey by assisting civic groups focused on public health initiatives in North Carolina!
