Major: Mechanical Engineering

Amanda is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Motorsports and a minor in Mathematics. She is on the Composites Design Team for the 49ers Racing IC Formula SAE Team, where she helps design and build formula-style race cars for international collegiate competitions. In addition to her technical work, Amanda serves as a Recruitment Ambassador for the W.S. Lee College of Engineering, leading campus tours and sharing her enthusiasm for UNC Charlotte with prospective students and families. Amanda’s commitment to service and inclusion began in high school, where she was recognized as a Champion of Inclusion for her dedication to volunteering with children with disabilities. She continues this passion on campus through her involvement with Best Buddies at Charlotte, promoting meaningful connections and advocacy. Amanda is also a member of the Habitat for Humanity Club and the Delta Zeta Sorority, where she values opportunities for leadership, personal growth and community engagement. Outside of academics and service, Amanda enjoys exploring the Charlotte area and attending sporting events, including soccer matches, hockey games and NASCAR races. In the summer of 2026, Amanda will study abroad in France, spending a month taking Mathematics and French courses while immersing herself in the cultures of Clermont-Ferrand and Paris before returning to Charlotte for a seven-week nonprofit internship with Dream On 3, where she hopes to help make sports dreams come true for children with life-altering conditions.
