Major: Psychology
Emree is majoring in Psychology, Spanish and Interdisciplinary Studies with a Concentration in Women’s and Gender Studies. Emree has always been passionate about advocating for mental health awareness. In high school she piloted a mental health club and continues her mission in college by working with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). At NAMI, she trained to become a Support Group Leader and a Young Adult Presenter with the program Ending the Silence. In these two roles she will be leading a group therapy treatment program and continuing the effort to destigmatize mental illness in adolescents. She also has a passion for Spanish and has spent time in Guatemala teaching English to young students. Emree plans to attend Graduate School and obtain her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. In her free time she enjoys painting, traveling, baking and spending time with her family and dog.
