Galen is pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science, International Studies, and French. He is also a student in the Early Entry Master of Public Administration program. Galen has completed internships with the World Affairs Council of Charlotte, the US Embassy in Zimbabwe, and the Georgetown Law Criminal and Juvenile Justice Clinics. He has served as a research assistant for projects with the Charlotte Urban Institute and the Closing the Water Gap Working Group. He currently works as a preceptor in the Global Studies Department and as a Campus Organizing Fellow for the North Carolina Conservation Network. He studied abroad in the summer of 2022 in Costa Rica. Galen is working with other scholars on the Charlotte Harvest Exchange civic engagement project to bring free on-campus farmers markets to the Charlotte campus.
