Jacquelin Jose
Class of 2029
Hometown: Oxford, NC
Major: Biology and Chemistry
Jacquelin is pursuing a double major in Biology and Chemistry, following the pre-pharmacy track at UNC Charlotte. She regularly volunteers at the VA Medical Center in Durham, where she gains valuable hands-on experience in the pharmacy department. Additionally, Jacquelin serves as a teen counselor at the Richard H. Thornton Library, supporting a variety of summer reading programs for youth.
Jacquelin is also actively involved with the Academic Assistance Initiative, a program she established to connect high school students in need of academic support with qualified tutors. In high school, she served as Student Body President, organizing school-wide events and collaborating closely with administrators to advocate for student perspectives. As President of her school’s HOSA chapter, she contributed significantly to community initiatives in partnership with Duke Children’s Hospital and the Red Cross Blood Drive.
Jacquelin is excited to further her engagement in service and leadership through upcoming internships.
