MacKenzie is pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science with a minor in History. She completed a nonprofit internship with Habitat for Humanity and continues to served as Vice President of the Charlotte chapter of Habitat on campus. This time has provided her with valuable insight into communities of particular need in the greater Charlotte area. Her volunteerism was furthered through Habitat build days, gardening shifts with Plants for People and as the event coordinator for Sky Meditation Club. MacKenzie also completed a four-month internship with the National Endowment for the Humanities in the Congressional Affairs office. She was an active member of Mock Trial and is a co-founder of the music blog “The Lending Ear.” One of her favorite LSP experiences was spending a month studying in South Africa with Levine.
