Omer is a third year student from Charlotte, NC. He is pursing a Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Public Health. His civic engagement efforts are focused on giving back to the underprivileged community and working with refugees in Charlotte. His experiences working with Heart 2 Heart, a CPR training program that teaches free classes bi-weekly have impacted his community by leading others to become leaders themselves. He has also been able to work with hospitals and community clinics to further his understanding of the healthcare field as he works towards becoming a physician.
