Rachel is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science with a focus on pre-medical studies, in addition to minors in chemistry and Spanish. She is particularly interested in the integration of data science and artificial intelligence techniques within healthcare to improve community health. This interest has been supplemented by her on-campus research opportunities, as well as her experiences on the LSP faculty-led study abroad program in Stellenbosch, South Africa. As an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and the Ronald McDonald House, Rachel is passionate about giving back to the Charlotte community through participation in diverse service experiences. She continues to seek out opportunities throughout her undergraduate studies that will increase her commitment to community, volunteerism and civic engagement.
