Rayney Maxwell is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with the hopes of attending medical school after graduation. She completed her nonprofit internship in the summer of 2023 at the Mecklenburg County Health Department where she worked to reduce barriers between people in the greater Charlotte community and access to public health and primary care. On campus, Rayney serves as a Niner Guide and is a member of the Campus Sustainability Alliance, Health Care Justice, and Plants for People. Rayney is also an active participant in a research team on campus specializing in the analysis of water quality in ponds in the Charlotte area.
