Roshna, a fourth-year student from Mooresville, NC, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Bioinformatics, alongside minors in Biology and Chemistry. She is actively involved in bioinformatics research on single-stranded DNA-binding proteins. In addition to her scholarly pursuits, Roshna is an engaged member on campus, contributing to student organizations such as CLT Kanaka. She also co-leads a civic engagement initiative, collaborating with university organizations to develop an interpersonal violence educational program to promote a safer campus culture. Roshna’s global perspective has been enriched by her study abroad experience in Valencia, Spain, during the Fall 2022 semester. This international exposure enhances her interdisciplinary approach and adds a cross-cultural dimension to her endeavors.
