Tara Solomon

Major: Exercise Science and Spanish

Tara is a senior double majoring in Exercise Science and Spanish. During her first year at Charlotte, she began volunteering with ourBRIDGE for Kids, an afterschool program for immigrant and refugee children. She completed her nonprofit internship with ourBRIDGE and executed a sports equipment renovation for her civic engagement project. She is a teaching assistant for Anatomy and Physiology II and is an honors student within the department of Applied Physiology, Health & Clinical Sciences. She is currently working on her honors thesis, researching the validity of portable ultrasound imaging. Having completed an LSP study abroad trip to South Africa, she spent her fourth summer in Spain completing a service-learning program at a local hospital. Upon graduation, Tara will have completed 8 semesters of service to the university as a Niner Guide. She plans to combine her love of teaching, language learning and “exercise as medicine” as a bilingual physical therapist.
