Major: Biology and Communication Studies
Tori is pursuing degrees in biology and communication studies with a concentration in public relations. Her academic and professional interests center on scientific communication and using strategic communication to make complex topics more accessible and engaging. Her experiences include conducting climate research in Santander, Spain, completing an environmental justice and public health communications internship with CleanAIRE NC and gaining professional experience in corporate communications with CSL Seqirus. Tori also studied abroad in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Rome, Italy, where she expanded her understanding of communication across cultures. Through her civic engagement work with Canvas for Our Climate in partnership with CleanAIRE NC, she combines her interests in environmental science, communication and community engagement. She hopes to pursue a career in scientific communication, particularly within the medicine, biotechnology or healthcare industries.
